Need help with connection from site

I didn't buy Half-Life, I bought Counter-Strike. How do I set it up with X-Plug so I can launch the game from the web site?

Yeah i bought counter-strike too...i got it to work by installing the file just in a halflife folder under sierra is fine(even if there isn't a folder name that at the moment)after you install i copied the folder under the sierra called HALFLIFE to the desktop... i then uninstalled the x-plug and put the copied folder on the desktop into the counter-strike folder under cprogram filessierra that should already be there. Thats i all i think i did so if it still doesn't work post again.

at the bottom of the page there should be a link that says get xplug. download it and install it.

Sorry but its hard to explain but ill go step by step.

First you download the file.
then you click on it to install it.

You install it under the folder that it automatically says, which i think is CsierraHALFLIFE.

You install it there(even if the folder doesn't exist but if it does put HALFLIFE1 OR SOMETHING DIFFERENT).

Go find the folder HALFLIFE under Csierra and copy and paste it to your desktop.

The go to your start menu and click settings and control panel.

Then click on Add/Remove Programs and uninstall X-plug.

Exit out of that when you are done and click on the folder HALFLIFE still on your desktop.

Then when inside, cut and paste the tfc folder that is inside of it to csierracounterstrike.

It will ask you if you want to replace files and click on "yes to all."

Then delete the HALFLIFE folder on your desktop but first make it is empty since you selected all the contenets and pasted it under counter-strike.

Then after that it should work..I did it a couple of weeks ago..so it might not work as i did it.

If that doesn't work you can download another program that can tell you who is playing on any server(if you have the ip address)without going to the ville site. Ill tell you the site of it when i get home from school.

Got to my conclusion because i was just trying different things and got it to work and i did that. That or what i remember.

Jin, what directory is your Counterstrike installed to? For example, my Half-Life is in C:GamesSierraHalf-Life because thats where I put all my games. By default it's in C:SierraHalf-Life.

When you configure Xplug you tell it the location of Half-Life, not including the tfc directory. So I click the Xplug configure button, and choose Game Type "Half Life". For the Game Location I put C:GamesSierraHalf-Life and for the Extra Command Line I put "-game tfc -console" without the quotes.
