I'm basically out of new music and movies. Any suggestions? Personal favorites are good too.

I'm a big fan of Bob Dylan, Radiohead, and Wilco. Can't go wrong with those.

Movies? If you're looking to pick up some DVDs, I just got Once Upon a Time in America, which was really good (and really long). Punch Drunk Love just came out a few weeks ago - also good. Adaptation was good, as was 25th Hour. If you're looking for stuff to download, then you're on your own, you dirty pirate

A good local band here in Mt. Vernon is The Undetermined. I dunno if they have anything online but you may wanna try searching for them
