A Guide for students sharing their first flat and not having their parents at hand to tell them if the food in their fridge is still fresh.

Eggs:
When something starts pecking its way out of the shell, the egg is probably past its best.
Dairy products:
Milk is off when it starts to look like yogurt.
Yogurt is off when it starts to look like cottage cheese.
Cottage cheese is off when it starts to look like regular cheese.
Regular cheese is off when you think it is blue cheese but you realise you never bought any.
Frozen foods:
If such foods have to be pried out of the freezer compartment with a knife then they might also be off.
Vegetables:
A carrot that you can tie in a knot is not fresh.

- General rule: Most food cannot be kept longer than the average lifespan of a hamster. Keep a hamster in or nearby your refrigerator to gauge this.

For those of you that do'nt know what a flat is.. it's the english word for apartment.

oh, and raph is a bampot and he needs to get a flat for the fall so he can play tfc w/ greenbo

some idiot kid came over during spring break when only i was home and i didnt get the dishes out of the sink for a few days, and i found a bowl of tomato soup with doritos in it that he had made, it had become something else...scary... dont forget to clean the dishes once in a while too
