I am still under reconstruction.

For the time being, I am forced to play Half-Life on my XP OS.

It is super lagorific. My pings are what they have always been so I know it's system lag. I never had this prob with HL on '98 so I know it must be XP.

WOW! What brilliant powers of observation!

Is there some sort of direct 3-D patch for XP?

All this trouble just to play! As soon as I get back to normal, I will still play HL on '98. It just works.

Try open gl. Halflife was made to use it.

Halflife runs fine on windows XP. Sounds like you have something set wrong in your display properties.

XP Rox for Half Life, runs great in Open GL at 1024x768, at a steady 100 fps..

What kind of system do you have? If its a older pc it will lag on XP, as xp needs a much faster cpu and more ram than 98.
