SWG release date

actually, it sounds kind of cool, unless my concept of it is way off. Is it supposed to be like D&D based in the Star Wars universe with about a million people playing? Could I be playing a charactor for a couple of months and then happen to interact with some guy who's been playing his charactor for a couple of months, just by happenstance? Or am I completely wrong about what it is?

If it's a huge universe with all sorts of stories happening at the same time that sometimes overlap, that would be unbelievable! If the game is like that, I'd be willing to pay.

The best part is, you get to choose which kind of character you want to be....mechanic, brawler, muscian, interior decorator (no, seriously), etc. I was totally pumped about it, but I've heard some pretty nasty things about it. I'm not quite sure I want to jump right into it without hearing its good from at least one person I know.

yah,I likr this guy's down to earth attitude. It sounds to me like a pile of steaming refuse, expecially if they want you to pay 15 bucks a month just to play the game. I hope this one really bites them on the ass. damn sony damn them to hell... I was getting excited about the game until I read that review.

I am going to wait a year before I even think about buying the game. I wish it was truly a workable game, but as usual the big companies prolly pushed the developers into releasing the game way way before it was ever ready to go. anyway, thats my 2 cents, thanks for showing us this one twisted!

Well if you do decide to get this Im on the Eclipse server and my name is Keefan Derwan, so send me a /tell if im online. Yes it has plenty of bugs but in the last month it has gotten EXTREMLY better. Now that people playing it are paying im sure it will take them no time at all to fix the rest.

I read a review about SWG and I heard it was really bad, boring and buggy.

I might check it out sometime, I wouldn't hold the bugs against it considering its been only a few days and is the size of eight everquests, there are bound to be bugs that will be fixed in time. As for that guy (Mike Nelson)'s review I dont think it could be a very indepth one. Either a) He played the game for about ten minutes, b) He played the game for about a day, the first day it was out, there are bound to be problems the first day a massive game ilke that comes out and games like SWG are like most RPG's, they get much more fun as your character gets better and higher levels, or c) He got an advance look at it in which case: nowonder there was nobody there, nobody was playing it!

Anygame in which you can be a zabrak bounty hunter and get Mandalorian armor is bound to be at least average

i will not buy for two reasons. 1) because lucas arts hasnt come out with an original game in like 30 years. and 2) because i dont want to pay a huge multi billion dollar company extra money so i can keep playing the game i already paid for.

You pay your $50, then have to pay for a 6 month subscription. That's another $90. So it costs $140 for you to get out on the net...

Hmmm. I don't think I would want to wait for bugs to get fixed for $140. Hell, the damned game should tell me how to be the best at whatever class I choose, and then offer to go out and do it for me if I want to go take a nap!

I understand about not wanting to pay to play, but that is what this game is.

I will do the same thing I did with Dark Age of Camelot. I play it for the first month (which is free), and if I don't like it, I sell it on Ebay. I got most of my money back by doing that.

That is what I will do here, once I buy it...and I am sure I will sometime.

After playing the beta and being bored to death, my view will be alittle rough. They had alot to work with and I hoped they would make it good. Instead they made EQ in space with a pretty wrapper.

Well, I bought the game this weekend.

The game was OK by my standards. The missions that I did worked, and the fighting wasn't too bad. It does have amazing graphics. Most of the people in game were friendly, and were more than willing to help.

I did get disconnected too much though, and that is one reason why I will be selling it. The other reason is that I have come to the conclusion I just can't play those kinds of games. In the end, I just get bored and/or frustrated with dying.

Plus, too many of them almost force you into groups to really succeed, and I don't want to play that way.

So, if anyone is interested in buying it, PM me. You will need to use my station ID, which is no big deal. I have already verified that all my info is erased (along with my character).

The price I paid was $53 something, so I will sell it for $30 or so, and then a little for shipping.

The free period on the game lasts until July 28th, just fyi.

I can get it shipped out on Saturday at the latest...

Oh, if anyone has any questions about the game, let me know. I will be glad to help out...
