mystery in the 'Ville

A fine mystery indeed. Here's the scoop. My stats credit me with one Infection kill this week. However (the plot thickens), I have not played as Medic all week. How do we account for this? Have I [dramatic pause] . . . . acquired some hideous disease, and am now unwittingly passing it to others?

But seriously, where did that come from? Is it possible that I became infected, passed it to a teammate, then switched teams and picked up the kill when the former teammate died? Or maybe the stats are just screwy . . .

Hmmm, I would have said you got it when you played Random, but you had not played random. I guess we just credit it to your skill in general, perhaps someone died at the site of you coming around a corner towards them?

More likely somebody committed suicide rather than be on the same team as me. But if I got credit for the kill, so be it. Another possibility is that my alter-ego from south of the border, Captain Corpse, annoyed someone to death. The server didn't know how to record it, so it just lumped it under Infection.

Hmmmmm. With the help of these new-found magical infecting powers, maybe I can finally own Frag.

Are you SURE you haven't played medic?

it could be that you just forgot. Hmm...or maybe someone else played on your computer!

So what you are really saying is that the stats are suspect. A cloud of doubt now hangs over everyone, did he really get high score for the week. Personally I've always felt I was number one but the stat server was secretly with holding my score, denying my rightful place as player of the week. So now it's confirmed give me my title put my name up on the big board ..Oh so you agree with me now, and you double checked and I'm not 3'439 out of 7'678 I'm....WHAT, really 7'677. Yeah right but whos counting anyway

If I did play as Medic, the stats didn't record it. So they got something wrong either way. Not that I watch the stats or anything.
