Pretty presumptuous aren't you. You think I know less than I really do, but you know nothing about me so it'd be wise for you to keep your assumptions to yourself unless you know better. I've known what EMO is for about 2 years, I've heard some of it before, and wanted to evacuate the room as soon as possible. I get to know things I dislike so I can more educatedly and definitly say I hate it. I don't know which is worse though bubblegum punk(as you put it pop-punk) or EMO, I don't bother with either and hope I never am unwillingly subjected to them or their sweater wearing patrons.

Well, I really have no clue what emo is, except that the name stands for emotional. But as Chen said, I was just kidding about Aaron Carter. I listen to Children of Bodom and Massive Attack a lot, as well as a lot of Dream Theater.
Once again, I really have no clue what actual emo music is, so those groups could be completely off
