Since we've been discussing music. If we could all list our three to five favorite albums. Add comments why that album is your favorite if you choose. It'd be interesting to see where everyone is coming from. Here's mine...

5. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Second Helping

This is Skynyrd's best and it's truly a great album front to back. Ronnie Van Zant could write/tell a story any day.

4. The Beatles - Abbey Road

The best by the best. Still not my favorite album though. I'll take this over The White Album, Help, Sgt. Pepper, and barely over Revolver and Rubber Soul. I think the modern (compared to 1964-1966) sounding recording helped push it to the top.

3. Kiss - Rock and Roll Over

Kiss maybe more show than talent. For this album they put the substance with the show. This one doesn't have Beth so it gets the nod over Destroyer.

2. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream

Soundgarden was first, Pearl Jam had Eddie, Alice in Chains had Man in a Box, and Nirvana blew the Grunge movement wide open. However Siamese Dream is Grunge's defintive album over Nevermind, Superunknown, Dirt, and Ten.

1. Rush - Signals

What? You never heard of the album? Signals came out one year after Rush's watershed album Moving Pictures (Tom Sawyer, Limelight, and Red Barchetta.) Signals up's M.P. on music, lyrics (phenominal lyrics), and mood. Signals did have two hits in New World Man and Subdivisions. It's more laid back album than what Rush has put out since 1990. It's the early 80's so you hear keyboards. However they put the keyboards to awesome use rather than for just glam cheese. Even though it's a more subtle album for Rush. They are at the top of their game ahead of Moving Pictures and 2112.

Honorable Mention:

UFO - Strangers in the Night (LIVE)
Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Roger Waters - Amused to Death
Pearl Jam - Ten
Yes - Fragile
Yes - Close to the Edge
Kiss - Destroyer
Triumph - Allied Forces
Shellac - At Action Park
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
The Rolling Stones - Some Girls
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Genesis - Abacab
Deep Purple - Made in Japan (LIVE)
Led Zeppelin - How the West Was Won (LIVE)
The Doors - The Doors
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
AFI - Sing the Sorrow
Bad Religion - All Ages
Slayer - South of Heaven
Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks
Television - Marquee Moon
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits
Kansas - Greatest Hits (1999)

I can listen to plenty of albums from start to finish; however I only enjoy a few 100%. Here are the first to pop into my head.

1. Any Matchbox Twenty CD (Actually 3)
I remember hearing Long Day played on the radio for the first time. This is the only band that I have followed all of their stuff and liked it all. (I'm going to see them Friday night)

2. Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I
One of my favorite songs is November Rain. And for some reason I can enjoy the entire album.

3. Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
I used to play this CD while I was playing a game called Quarantine. It was one of the first games I remember would use the CD in the drive as music in game. I would play for so long that the songs became good to me

4. Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill
I bought the CD because any good-looking chick, that talks about going down on someone at a theater, is awesome. She has a great voice (most of the time) and her songwriting is incredible.

5. Metallic - Black
I don’t think this needs explanation. All there stuff is good, especially the one with the orchestra. This one is just easier to listen to.

Squirrel Nut Zippers = Hot
Satanic swing, gotta love it!

Led Zeppelin = Physical Graffiti
The godfathers of metal

Metallica = Justice/Puppets
Before they went gay. Back when insane time changes and raunchy crunch was the meal of the day

Slayer = Live, Decade of Aggression
Just amazing. Dueling slaytanic guitar virtuosos.

SRV & Double Trouble = Couldn't Stand the Weather
Uh, hello! It's Stevie Ray Vaughn. Need I say more?

Pink Floyd = Animals
When I was in college, I used to fall asleep to this album. I think it traumatized me.

Nirvana = Bleach
Probably the best album of the 90's.

Alice in Chains = Dirt
I am the rooster beyotch!

Jethro Tull = Living with the Past
Some old, some new. Jethro Tull is probably one of the best jam bands out there.

Those are pretty much my staples.
