This is like the fourth damn time that I have typed a post that took longer than expected to type. I get done and I go submit it and the freaking thing comes back Invalid Session. I hit the back key hopefully to recover my garble and my entire post is gone. This is such BS! We have only a certain amount of time to type. What next, time visits to the website phpBB _________________ http://www.nosmacktards.com |

I got a couple of Invalid Session errors yesterday.

My problem seemed to be that IE was running out of memory (i had other things going on). If I restarted IE it would run fine for about 10 minutes, then back to an Invalid Session.

I finally killed the background processes, and never had another problem. _________________

start a thread typing whatever and just let it sit for about 15 minutes or so and you will get it. Its caused by taking to much time typing. I was typing something and then stopped cause I went to go search for some links that took some time to find and when I returned I got that error when I went to post it.

Do you have it setup to automatically log you in when you get to the forums? _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

I read about that error and it explained everything. It said the newest update included a security upgrade and it checks your IP at every page load for security. When you have a internet service such as AOL that switched you between servers to balance out the load, the IP is constantly changing. This cause the Invalid_session to come up not allowing you to post. So if you take too long to post, it will happen because of that problem.

I used IE directly instead of using my other browser and it soulved the problem for me. _________________

I had it in a complaint department post and I don't think I can get it back. Rob gave it to me so he can probably help you. _________________

He already saw that and posted in it a few times. But what does that thread have that this one doesn't? _________________

I was talking about an article written by the phpBB guys that explained the problem, not a post. _________________
