Wow I just realised that it was about this time 2 years ago that I stumbled accross avantiville. It took me a couple of months to sign up to the clarkgraphics.com/tfc website though.

God I feel old, I still remember when every night Avantiville 1 and soon after Avantiville 2 would be packed with PWG, BR and NSA regs. I still remember when some people got annoyed at me for water sniping on rock2. Hell I still remember that I used to snipe, it used to be the only class I played. I remember the servers that were up from 5:30 PM - 8 AM, 24/7 avanti, turkeyburger nights...

How times have changed.

PS does anyone remember Orbital Frame? If I remember correctly it was a 32 player server that had a rotation of 1hr avanti/ 1hr warpath.

PPS Now that TV1 is DoD where do you guys hang out? I need a new tfc server, Foxbots on TV3 and TV6 simply don't cut it.

I used to play Orbital Frame before it shut down Silver found the Ville. I used to pwn as a spy on Avanti. I'd get about 240 kills in an hour. Good stuff. I played as FragFailure there too.

I think I saw an avantiville server before I came here, but never tried it untill I saw theville servers and kept coming because it was a fun server. Then, I finally decided to join the forums.

Over a year and a half for me since I joined the forums.

I remember seeing the servers packed with PWG, BR, and TVB but no NSA. I came after the merger.

I remember the servers not opening until 5:30pm. It was a vicious race to see who could join the server first!

I remember staying on from 5:30 until TV1 went down at night countless times. Once you got in, you had to stay or you would never get back in. I would even alert my team to cover defense while I went to the bathroom! I wasn't about to lose my spot!

Now, there are so many 24/7 servers here we really don't have that prob any longer.

I remember spending hours with JD doing nothing but fooling around on the servers. Ever paint an entire section of a map with your sprays? Ever watch an admin go noclip to plant SG's in the most bizarre unreachable places? I've seen some sick SG placement. . let me tell you! We would have 0-grav fights Matrix style on Avanti while others sat going, "WTF"?.

Everything was very laid back most of the time. I somewhat feel we are slowly getting back to that. It's a good thing.

Here's to two more years!
