I was looking at the most recent pic thread and it got me thinking. How many gaming communities have been going on this long and strong? I bet there are very few online communities that have been this successful. One of the things that demonstrates how well the Ville regs have come together is the number of people who've met someone else in R/L as a direct result of being a member of The Ville community. I find that to be totally cool.

I myself have met Frag, although I had little to do with having the opportunity. He was moving to Vega$ and stopped in St. Louis for a few hours to have a beer with me at one of the local casinos.

The number of people that I'd like to meet; TYO, JD, JCOM, Rob, BRN, Hat, YPAWOM, Ap, Chan just to name a very few, is staggering. It is great to have met so many quality people and amazing to think that I've had this opportunity due to sheer luck! Because of a game! When I count my blessings, being a member of The Ville community is near the top, and it's all because of you clowns.

Frag is kind of the poster child for this thread, since he's met about a ba-jillion Ville regs, but there are other people out there who've met because of The Ville.

So the question is: Who have you met in real life that you never would have met if you didn't happen to click on a Ville server those many moons ago?

I would love to meet some of the Ville community in person, I even debated going to the Ville Bash in Vegas, unfortunate ly I do not have the money or I would. (May be some one could host a bash in or near North East Obio?

) As many of you may know, NS is the first online game I have ever played. I am a shy person, I only went to servers with my ex-girl friend. After she broke up with me, I had to go to servers alone, which is not easy for me. So I chose the one I rembered the best -- The Ville V -- and now you cant get rid of me, I feel right at home here. That says a lot about how great this community is, I do not feel as at home in my own hometown

Haven't met anyone yet, but Gizanked and I are going to do lunch when I get my lazy buttox up to his part of PA (we're about 40 minutes apart).

Like Sully, my "want to meet" list is massive. Too bad that so many of the coolest peeps live on the opposite coast. TYO suffers from a not-so-secret fear of flying, which may explain my lame concing skills. We should do an alternate Ville Bash for folks on the East Coast. Maybe even in Atlantic City, so we can gamble in glitz and glamour like the Left Coasters!
