Does everyone but me know leet tricks?

I read through here and see everyone say that they can do things like HH conc consistantly, or perform other leet tricks. I have never been able to do a thing even remotely like that. Nothing. Not a single trick, loop, or whatever. This, and many other things have gotten me to think that I suck at the game.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

To learn Concing. . try the map "tayconc". You can get the map here: Tayconc

Having someone there to help you makes it easier.

Rocket/nade jumping. . . . .easy stuff. You just have to practice!

Priming grenades and things of that nature are definitely skills you need to learn if you truly want to. . .not die?

It all depends on what skills you are talking about really. Do you know the basic tricks of the trade? Do you only want to learn the "elite" tricks? What exactly do you want to learn?

Keep in mind, many of the elite tricks like the triple conc are somewhat useless or impossible to pull off on many pub maps. HH concing though is pretty effective. Now, the super triple pipe jump of doom. . .that's worthy of learning.

Pipe jump?

Double conc?

HH conc?

Prime a nade?

Rocket Jump?

In my opinion, if you are pretty good at priming grenades, you should be able to learn concing easily. It's ALL timing.

There are many people here that would love to help anyone learn a new trick. Just find out exactly what you want to learn and ask.

borg and me and thewz were doing the tayconc the other night on tv7.. he got pretty far. thewz is also really good which i never knew before

... i first beat tayconc with 400-500 ping on the old BR server a long time ago. so i tihnk with your 200-300 ping on the private server beating tayconc shouldn't be too terribly frustrating. as for tayconc2. i ahve yet to beat that, farthest i got was through the hoel in the ceiling and then i had to leave. anyways. learning to conc, HH, double conc ( triple conc, which i can't or don't think i can) rocket jump. all timing. and once you get the timing its a lot easier than you think.

I can rocket jump and pipe jump. I can do a single conc if I'm lucky.

That's one reason I like DoD better because there are no crazy tricks to do.

I know alot of tricks, but most of them are just secrets, not 1337ness.
I'm working on hh-ing currently myself, i dont recommened making a lan game or the private server though since ping makes a huge differance and with such low pings in a real server you'll be out of whack.

as for you hardcore concers : get conc_hell it scares me and is very very hard!

But seriously, I've seen 56k guys with tweaked out settings able to handle held as well as me. True they are the exception, and not the rule - but I think that you could easily master drop concs.
