Back in the day when aol first come out they had master accounts for some users that bought stuff online. Within these master accounts they had personal info like social security number birth info,Phone numbers,Home addresses stuff like that.A friend coded a pw cracker to crack aol accounts for the sole purpose of cracking master accounts.We did and with the info we crudly filled out CC applications an had the cards sent to us. **The spending spree began with a pair of shoes for me an some cd's for my buddy** It ended 173,000$ later with me an him in prison for 6months. I was ordered to pay the money back,which im still in the process of doing, and not to touch a computer for one year,which is now over by a year. I was 18 when this happend an it changed my life.From this incident AoL decided keeping that info on those profiles was a serious security flaw was eventually sued by the people we waxed.LoL the fed's raided my place one nite IN force i mean there was tons of these guys there i ran upstairs to just kick the shit outta my comp (cause at the time i had a compaq presario 5020 p23oomhz etc etc etc but the hard drive was a quantum bigfoot xl 4500rpm very sensitive to shock. I kicked the shit outta that thing hoping to send it into a shock but it didnt work. So a little bit of advice coming directly from experience DONT TRY IT.
