I have been asked how to do this many times in game. If you make a picture, how do you convert it into a spray?

It's a pretty simple program that will automatically resize and convert your pics into a wad. It even goes thru the trouble of placing it where it needs to go. The only thing is that once you run the program you can't go into your customize menu to see it. Once you go it there it reverts back to your default spray. Have fun, and no in game pr0n .

I'm not sure if that program includes this, but your sprays have to be within a certain height and width (if you were to multiply your height and width together, it has to be less than, or equal to 10752). Also the dimensions of your picture have to be divisible by 16.

That page has a calculator under 'Animated Decals' to see if the dimensions you want will work or not.

I use Wally to do those kind of things. I got it to work with textures in maps when I was making them and it works well. It has a thing that will guide you through the making of a custom spray. You can even edit the picture by adding special effects and stuff. And it will allow you to add and remove pictures from wads. So if you want to take a picture you liked out of a map, you can get it out of the wad, resize and put in the pldecal.wad file (spray wad). It also allows you to browse the half-life pak files where most of the files are found for HL.
