Danno is trying to fix a problem with TV4 so he switched TV1 to DOD for tonight so he could test the bandwith issues on DOD v1.0. Sorry we didn't warn everybody ( I thought Danno was kidding )
BUT
It sure did fill up fast!! _________________

Danno asked me to hop in when he switched TV to DOD.
I ran at 0 choke and o loss with a ping of about 80 (excellent from west coast to tv1 location). What ever was tweaked worked (and also note my DOD config is the default, nothing has been changed).

I hoped on as well and thought I'd test a few things out. I still had some choke but not like it was. I changed my settings back to default and that's when I noticed it. With the settings where they were for TV4 I had 0 choke and the ping was great.
Thanks for the heads up Merf _________________

This simply means that TFC is indeed dying, and that DoD is now more popular. One night it took me 20 minutes to find a spot on TV4.... _________________ PJ --- ancient IDIOT with a rusty CROWBAR....

Ahhhhhh, the wonders of membership. It's worth it when you don't have to wait to get into a server _________________

TFC itself really isn't dying at all. However, pubbing on valve maps have seen better days. STA and TFL and enormous right now. Too many people love the fortress game style for TFC to die. TFC leagues are bigger than DOD, NS, and RTCW leagues by far. Finding a place on a popular league server is actually a difficulty. _________________

I will continue to play TFC no matter if it's dying or not. Hopefully at TV. _________________ Yes, I'm still around

Well these stats show that DoD is more popular but not by much, but what I would like to know is if there was an increase since 1.0 and going retail.
What is also amazing is the number of ppl playing CS _________________ PJ --- ancient IDIOT with a rusty CROWBAR....

THere are still more TFC servers than DoD servers. Its just that that TFC has gone from less pubbing to more leagues. The leagues are huge now :X _________________ Usually my sig goes here, but who the hell needs one anyways. |
