Hello,

Right now we are using the fade to black command on TV4. This command disables the death cam and replaces it with a black screen right after death during the respawn/reinforcement countdown.

When the server first went 1.0, many said they didn't like the death cam. Main reason.. people can see where you are at or hiding when you kill them. So.. we turned it off.

Now.. some want death cam back. Mainly due to the boring black among other reasons. There are only 2 options.. deathcam or fade to black..

We need your opinion, so please vote.

Bring back the death cam!

30 deaths at 10 seconds of black screen per death = 300 seconds of black screen = 5 min on a 30 minutes map looking at a black screen... BORING!

Most of the time you know who killed you anyway and even if you don't know, someone else will say something like :" SNIPER ON CHURCH" and then you know where the guy that shot you is.

Also, it is a good tutorial tool for newcomers for them to be able to see what veterans do.

Finally, it is always so entertaining to see the 1001 ways Paddyjack and Shockwave can get killed !

I think i have said how i feel...i think if you are bored just enlarge the map that is normally in the right hand corner and watch your team slaughter or walk into an ambush...like i said before it is amusing and passes the 10 seconds really quickly.

I say keep it to fade to black. In reality, you can't see who killed you after you're dead, can you? I like the map idea, too.

get a book or something...keep the black more realistic

Why would I want to see where someone was hiding, Shock, AFTER he kills me.

I would like ANOTHER POLL to change the map to show me where you are BEFORE its to late

I agree with Paddyjack, Shockwave and Stevo.

The fade to black makes it more realistic.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, in real life do you get to stare at where someone shot your head off? I tell you people no, no you do not get to see them. You get to bleed your life away in a haze.

You would be removing sniping in the game entirely. Why not also reduce the damage of the one shot weapons and remove all head shots. That would be what you are doing to sniping.

I haven't played the game that much but when I did the Death cam helped me out. I don't think its that much of a disadvantage for those that play the game all the time....and those that are getting killed could probably use any help they can get.

By the way...I never figured out how to make the dang thing show me what I wanted to see anyway.

Who cares about real....**its a game**

My vote is for less boredom....especially since otherwise I'd have to look at more dark screens than any of you.

Leave the "Fade to Black" to Metallica! Speaking as someone that dies.. A LOT....that black screen is a pain in the a$$.
