Rotation getting old for TFC?

I agree some new maps would be good. But whenever i add a new map in like openfirle cornfield or osaka or anyother custom map nobody ever plays them.

Just like when i did a vote a while back and everybody wanted casbah, loaded it up and nobody played and damn near killed the server.

I will never load a custom map into the mapcycle, they may be fun but are the death of any server. Thats why you always see those custom map servers we have are always empty. It dont pay to have a empty server.

If you want a custom map once in a while, call a vote or have a admin change it.

I know all the maps that are favorites of theville and i try to cycle through them every month or so. Ill try adding a new map in the cycle today and see what happens...

most custom maps dont work too well with a random pub group, when you have a bunch of regs its great though, valve should stick some new maps in with TFC so everyone has em

Acropolis2 is a custom map and it worked. I would like to see maps like openfire_l on the server, but Danno is right, there's a good chance it'd empty the server. If anyone wants, they can ask me for a map vote. I think the current rotation is pretty good though, except for turtle games of warpath when theres 20 people and its lagging. But that's not that big a deal.

Oh please not dustahoe. But I think map votes for custom maps are good. But an admin should only have the power to create map votes. Sometimes I see regulars make a map vote every-so-often and it get's irritating

Before I came to the Ville my home was a server that played nothing but custom maps. It did work there. However Danno hit it right on the head. I don't think this community is geared for the custom maps. We only had one server for one MOD and usually the same group of peeps everynight. We were a close group, like we are here. In fact I got some of them to come here when it went down

. Some of them still pop in on occasion.
