I actually love the new version of DoD. The dog is pretty stupid, and anyone that actually needs it should rtfm before they play. The fact that they tell you where the person is that killed you is also annoying. Even if you have the best spot in the world to shoot from and you're the only one that knows about it, you still have to move after you killed one guy.

On the otherhand, I think the new crosshairs are excellent, the graphics of player models and weapon models is excellent, the sounds are extremely nice, and the maps aren't an eyesore anymore. I also like the map, though I don't really use it. I mainly just look up every once and awhile to see where my teammates are, and if any allies have thrown a nade near me. The symbols above the players heads are also nice, since the allies and axis uniforms are slightly similiar, not to mention that in real war, you'd probably know who most of your friends were (except for those times when you shoot anything that moves.)

Whoever made the dog and made it so the game told you were the person is who killed you needs to be shot.....repeatedly....otherwise two thumbs up to the dod team

Well, in any case, by using Free Look after I died in 3.1 I always knew where the people were anyway.

I could live without the minimap though. The music is also horrible IMO, and I'm going to switch it with my Band of Brothers theme as soon as tonight.

I also liked the map set in a tropical forest like night.
