I wanna mulch! i was mulching all night last night with eagle mymy rob and lots o people and they gots me addicted i want MORE!

ARRRGH I missed it again! What server was it on? I really wanted to go at it with a few peeps on that map too!

Ok, now that we've got the extra grudge match/training ground server up and running the mulch_dm map, can some of the more seasoned mulchers explain to all of us the Do's and Do Not's of the map?

For instance...

DO:

1. Prior to beginning a match, stand at opposite ends of map between your own doors. When ready, hop like a mad bunny to signal to your opponent that you're ready to fight till death!

2. Fight to the death!

3. Give your remaining health and armor if you emerge the victor of the match.

4. Watch and learn! Plenty of the tips/tricks can be used during regular gameplay.

DO NOT:

1. Get into the arena if you're not mulching. Watch as a civilian or wait your turn.

2. Run back for more health and armor. You're only prolonging the inevitable and other people are waiting for their turn.

3. Throw popcorn down into the arena as a civilian. You will incur the wrath of the fighters below and they will remember when you finally do mulch.

4. Worry about stats. It's turned off on this server so swap tips, tricks and explore new moves here if you will.

Everywhere I've played you aren't allowed to use secondaries and you can't use a weapon other than rocket launcher until you've fired a certain number of rockets, the most common I've seen in 4-8 rockets.

When you face each other between the doors a single jump is the norm.
The first thing you look at when you enter the areana is for an opponent. If he's there first he jumps and waits. You line up and then jump once when you hit the ground its then a fair start.

I've also played a variation where mulching is done 2 v 2. Players line up on all four corners and a nail gren (or something similar if no soldiers are present i suppose) is thrown into the air. When it explodes, charge like mad.

This gets kind of interesting, as its a unique combination of raw skill and teamwork. And besides, its interesting to see which classes compliment each other the best....

All the rules should really be is stand at opposie ends of arean jump when ready and after that fight to death No HOLDSBARD (whatever that saying is.) And dont be ass and fight when other people are fighting, if you are gonna dule, dule with same calsses Ex. not a soldier vrs a pyro. if spy duleing no gas basically only norm nades.

Mostly mulched as a soldier. Did ok considering the competition. Did a few spy duels. The only thing we agreed to disallow was the use of gas grenades.

Rules Schmules...

I just played my first game of mulch...Had a F*CKIN Blast...

After learning the ETIQUETTE, not rules, I had a great time. Had some knife fights, some sollie v Demo fights, learned how to do a (And to quote Avenger on this) A Super Triple Super Pipe Bomb Jump. It was fun.

Sure I was 6-42, but I had a damn good time. And everyone was courteous in theire fragging, and if someone was confused, the rules were politely explained, and play resumed. No hard feelings. I mean, there aren't any consequences, so why get mad.

If you die, just respawn and go again, no stats, no team, no flag, just pure, unadulterated FRAGGING!
