Wrong now pop ups pop up all the time no matter where I go on the internet Worse yet I have tried the Find option and Add/Remove Programs and I can't seem to find the damn program to remove it Anyone have any ideas how I can find and remove this SOB ? program called adaware might do it.
you could always backup everything and reinstall windows, its good to do it once and a while as sort of a spring cleaning...gets all the old dusty registry entires and stuff cleaned out and your system will be happy fresh and new, and run faster again. _________________ World of Warcraft:

You need Spybot - Search & Destroy (http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang=en&page=download)
and Adaware 6 (http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/) (but see if you can find the Plus or Professional editions somewhere)
If a program you run contains spyware, then it may not work after using either of the above programs to remove the spyware components. So be sure that every result that appears is worth Buleeting. They always are for me, because I don't use rotten programs |

oh my god that program worked wonders...i have had a serious problem with pop ups in the last month that are directly associated with the gator program or spyware programs and this Search and Destroy did the job. Thanks a bunch for posting the link.

I've tried both of the spyware programs already. I still use the ad-aware though. Spy Bot was just a bit too complicated for my taste. Ad-aware usually does a fine job of keeping my machine clean. _________________

I downloaded it, too, but it didn't work so now I have a "Can't download application, try again." error every time I start my computer. I'll try the adaware program and maybe the other one and see if it makes a difference..... _________________

It's still worthwhile to have both programs on your machine. Spybot, for example, can check out any registry inconsistencies, and is also good for temporarily disabling any start-up entries.
It also tells you of all usage tracks that remain on your machine, so if you don't want others using the same computer to know what you're up to, then this is very useful (e.g. Pug won't want his father to catch him surfing teh pr0n). |

Well it looks as if I got bit by the same (Non-Cleanable) piece of spyware.
Forgetful me lowered my window security settings for a virus scan and forgot to raise it back before coming here "Free Scratch Cards" is the program. I formatted my drive to put it mildly since the socalled Removal program from the site is just a ploy and doesn't do crap to resolve the issue. I believe that it's just another spy within itself
http://www.free-scratch-cards.com is the site... Robert Please remove this Ad. _________________ http://www.nosmacktards.com

I doubt that Adware would decipher needed operating system files as being spyware .. Have you altered your systems security settings that would reject cookies ?
