A New Ville Server?

Hey I just checked at gametiger.com and found TheVille.org - Munkey's Tree 38.170.116.25:27015
Is this a new ville server? It was running mulch deathmatch.

That's right folks!! A New Server for the New Year!! The Ville is proud to bring you guys a place where trash-talking members can finally walk-the-walk after they've talked-the-talk in the forums!

This will be an unofficial server - No stats will be kept on it (unless there's an overwhelming response). The map will remain as mulch_dm to facilitate one-on-ones and spectator functions.

This server is only available to us Vill'uns and the password to get onto the server is "limpchimp". Obviously, you'll need to be on the forums to know all this.

This server will also be running 24/7. There is no NEOTF installed and it is basically a bare-bones TFC setup. Besides duelling it out, the mulch_dm map provides a good training ground to master your class where one-on-one combat is concerned.

There are some very good mulchers out there who will be more than willing to give you pointers on how to be a better player in your class. Their scores on the regular TV maps are testimonials to their excellent play.

Why Don't you run Greebo's FlagControl map here too... this map really rules and I think will become popular.

Ktulu, FragControl3 was made by Mr. Bee. I agree however, its a great map and I would like to see it in rotation.

As for Greebo and Cstones Breakout, I think its about time that map got a home here too

PHS, the easiest way to connect is to write down the IP listed above. When you enter Halk-Life click the Console button and type

'connect 38.170.116.25'

BTW, any word on the pixel playtest yet?

There is a password that you need to key in when you log on so you might need to get into the game via the regular way through the server listings in TFC. Does anybody know how to include the password while connecting?

Thanks Twisted..... Then Breakout is the map I was talking about, just got the names screwed up... kinda twisted them around you might say

Anybody can download this map in the files area and load it on your lan, you will see how much fun this map can be

How To Access Server From Shortcut or Command Line:

C:/SIERRA/Half-Life/hl.exe -noipx -console -game tfc +connect 38.170.116.25:27015 +password limpchimp

I just created a shortcut on my desktop but you can also do this under Start/Run in Windowz

make the forward slashes into backslahes, I don't know how to use forward slashes in the forum... it auto deletes them

For Your Convience I have uploaded shortcuts to munks new server and all the rest of theville servers..... just right-click them and save to your desktop and then simply double-click them to goto that server.

I think this server will just make the ville a better place to play. It could be used as a training ground to get some people who play at the ville server often but still can't get good because of high ping (could be part of my problem) or other reasons.

If you want to use the Xplug to enter put this into Xplug.
Click on the options button then highlighting half-life.
Where you already should have -game tfc hightlight and copy this there.

-game tfc +password limpchimp
