Isn't CS created by an independent group from Valve? Or did Valve take over CS at some time?

Those graphics are amazing. They look like something out of Myst where it's all still screens, and you can run through the stuff in HL2 I'm excited.

Trust me in this

I've seen the same shit being published for TF2. Heck, I think TF2 was even proclaimed game of the year by PCG....gg. These computer publications are often full of nice pictures but the game is usually very far from being ready. It's been 2 years now that I've first seen Doom3 pictures.

Moreover, Valve do not release anything in time.

something i found:

-Half-Life 2 is scheduled for a September 30th release.
-Yes, you're still Gordon Freeman, and yes, the story assumes you went to work for the G-Man.
-Half-Life 2 takes place in a European city called "City 17."
-Headcrabs will be back! Although some of the Xen aliens will be your friends?
-Barney is back. And so is Half-Life's original writer, Marc Laidlaw.
-While the new engine has all sorts of fancy features, it's still designed to work on lower-end machines. Apparently a 700mhz processor and a video card capable of running DX6 is enough, although a 2ghz with a GeForce4 is recommended.
- The girl in the promo art is named Alyx, a daughter of a scientist who doctors into the story somehow. She's not playable.
- Scripted Sequences will be more interactive.
- Half-Life 3 is planned, so expect another cliffhanger ending.

I would be the first to be happy about it, but I still don't believe it will be out for September 30th, unless it is the year 2004
