Are you getting tired of popups?

I know I am getting really tired of the popups here. If one starts to popup, I have to close it down quickly or a dozen will be poping up.

Use webwasher, it blocks pop-ups among other things..

I've also added a lot of known ad companies to my hosts file to block them that way too

127.0.0.1 ad.se.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 ad.sma.punto.net
127.0.0.1 ad.uk.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 ad.webprovider.com
127.0.0.1 ad08.focalink.com
127.0.0.1 ad1.adcept.net
127.0.0.1 ad2.adcept.net

Those are just a few.. go to the internet and find a comprehensive list of these.. just do a search on google. Then paste them into your hosts file as 127.0.0.1 (localhost).. they are then unable to open.

Host file is normally in winnt/system32/drivers/etc.. or just do a search for it

I don't have special software to block popups. My web browser does it by itself.

yeah, i was jsut thinking this... a little weather thing keeps popping up, a ninja cam. all sorts of crazy things. if they did it jsut once i'd be happy but they KEEP COMING!!! i need to get a credit card...
