I would love to see AOL recieve all of their CDs back. They wouldn't know what to do with them.

Not if they were the out dated versions . I showed Frag my new tin and he pulled his out, version 7.0. I bet they would love getting those back with a nice message along with it.

I think I read something like that recently. A group of kids managed to get together thousands of the AOL CDs and mailed them back to AOL in an attempt to make a statement against their wastrel habits. I will see if I can find something about it.

Ahah! I found it!

I encouraged BRN to use the AOL tray as a coaster like I do.

Actually they're steel. For the hell of it, I've started collecting them
(the tins).

As far as people that want to ship them back, follow this link:

http://www.nomoreaolcds.com/

They're gonna do it once they reach 1 million.

The CD costs are minimal when compared to the costs of advertising. Sending out the CDs is actually the best way for AOL to get new customers. This is the way business works and even if you ship 2 million CDs back they're going to continue doing this.

If your worried about the environment, take the money you would have spent on sending them back and put it to some good use.....or heck give me the shipping charges and I'll make use of the CDs.

What could I do with them....?:
Turn them into coasters, mobiles, cheap skateboard wheels, punk-rock ear rings, break em into sharp pieces and drop em on Iraq and North Korea, glue a bunch together and make a cylinder for launching bottle rockets, frisbees, clock faces, candle holders.....if you need some entertainment throw a couple in your microwave and watch the fancy light show!! Tile the bathroom/basement/swimmingpool with them, use as christmas ornaments, bookmark, paper weight...thread them on long string and make similar to a beeded curtain, bike reflectors....drop 2 or 3 over France and watch them surrender.

Drop them in the ocean beside the toxic waste and old national geographics we dump. Use as a solar reflector to focus light into a collector, Glue one to a yard stick and bammmmm a handy fly swatter, relabel and sell as MS Office 2005....then run like hell with the money......

you get the idea!!

The one I just got was for 8.0, not the first 8.0 I got either. This was just the first one they sent me in a tin, ever. What I was saying was Frag showed me a tin that was for version 7.0 that he got a while ago.

I decided to clean the soda rings off my tray and put it back into it's proper use. It's my coasters again. I gave BRN's kid the AOL 7.0 disc to maul and destroy.
