TTT, everyone should share at least their thoughts on this.

Well I can't speak on what happened in the past as I am a new villun, but I can say that the community is great and I want to thank everyone for being so welcoming. What I have noticed about the community is that, at least on the NS servers, the unspoken ethos by which we play is frequently shattered by one or two people who decide to play on the server and wind up pissing everyone off and being a general ass (well everyone except horses, she's nice to everyone =). Most of the time we simply have a lot of fun, but when these antagonists show up it can so quickly be ruined, and they often wind up getting kicked by one of the venerable admins (I say this in all honesty). What I was wondering is if this was always the case or something new. It's the biggest thing I've noticed that hampers our feeling of community on TV5 and TV8. It's still there, but it could be stronger. Anyways that's my 2 pence, and thanks again to everyone out there! LLTV! #Beer

Good post KK. I don't think TFC is a dying mod yet. Just that poeple got sick of each other on TV.

lol! Your ideology typically agrees with KRG and Roof (vs. Frag), but I don't know why you were slung into that list as an emotional tormentor. Actually, I don't think anyone in that list is an "emotional tormentor," but I'm sure that was just an ill choice of rhetoric for the conspicuous message KK was trying to push.

KK:

My initial thought on this topic was, "I think I like Cheetos TOO much."

After alittle more thought, I would have to say that overall I agree with your message, and I would love to erase my slate. The fact being though, as soon as the slates get erased and all grudges are dropped, someone will pull out the chalk and dirty them up again. With so many people under the same roof, conflicts will arise.

In my opinion, it's better to talk things out in some cases. However, a lot of people here get SO UPTIGHT at the slightest hint of controversy. The problems aren't solved, but are pushed under the rug. Eventually the tension accumulates are people burst. IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST SOLUTION TO PUT A LOCK ON A CONFLICT.

People also fail to realize that a controversial discussion is not always a flame. People exchange different opinions here, and the TheVille firemen come to put a lock on. A flame is the overuse of obscene language in a 7th grade manner without the slightest hint of logical debate.

When people start acknowledging conflict without holding grudges or getting personally upset, the tension will ease.
