I've printed out about 10 million pages on console commands. I guess I got excited after you guys helped me with the password problem....

Any way I've tried a few commands out like simple binds for det5-det50 and adding reload after my +attack.

Although I've been as careful as possible, I now have issues: When I hold down my 2nd grenade to prime (I play demo its a mirv)...it primes but it also drops the 2nd mirv just in front of me... !

Also this morning when testing out the detpack binds I noticed that when I get killed I can no-longer respawn.. ****and I don't know the console command for respawn I've always hit mouse1 (+attack) and poof I'm back in.

I've been making these changes to config not autoexec....it seemed to work better ....but I thought I might try using the class.cfg files ....???

Any ideas on any of this stuff??? Mainly need help with respawn otherwise I'm dead in the water. -Thanks much!

for the respawning part:

are you using a reload script???

try binding "-reload" to a key and press that one once you die. that should solve the problem. (could be you need to press that key and then your mouse. dunno)

any command that was in the +whatevercommand position when you died it stays like that and you cant exec another command until you -whatevercommand , so your reload thing may to to blame... what do you have "g" bound to do? sounds like you have it priming on the +anothercmd AND the -anothercmd so thats why its using both grens...post it so im sure ;>

Here are the lines I altered:

The ones like this are ok -
bind "F9" "+det5"
also did 20 and 50 for F7 and F8.

This is the one I think I had problems with -
bind "Mouse1" "+attack; +reload"

I went home after your suggestion and did this -
bind "Mouse1" "+attack; +reload; -reload"

I tried to get onto TV1 after that and it froze my computer up 3 times...had to reboot each time to recover. Didn't have time to try another server will try tonight. The freezing may be unrelated but if it happens again I'll change the config file back to the way it was and try.

What do you guys think about using the class specific config files?

Use whatever keys you like and on the reload one make sure you unbind your normal forward,backward,left, and right keys because the script rebinds them to move and reload.Also right click config.cfg and check the read only box

You know what's funny? I pwn all of j00 and I don't have anything but default binds.

Actually, some of them look kinda interesting. Might look at a reload for solly. Can you set binds by class?

you can. instead off placing them in your config.cfg you need to place them into the cfg for the class you want. like for soldier it would be: soldier.cfg

What Cobra said Autoreload I think is the most useful bind for any class that has to reload you can concentrate on fighting instead of reloading your chosen weapon
