Yeah his tat is pretty wild, it's an old Aztech symbol symbolizing a warrior.

I don't understand.
I didn't pay for it, per se (Saw it on Showtime. No one cares about Tonya Harding) but part of the appeal of boxing is the circus atmosphere around Tyson right now. If this had gone 6 or 7 rounds, it would have been a disaster for both fighters, and people would have been teed off about spending 30 dollars to watch ballroom dancing.
Fact is, people _want_ to see Tyson obliterate people like he did to Etienne tonight. It was a thing of beauty. He hasn't punched like that in years and years. He'd get clobbered by anyone near the top of the HW Division, but in a fight like this, he's harmless. The Klitschkos, Chris Byrd, or even Lennox Lewis would hand him his rear.
Loved every second of it, from the ripping of the towel to the glass head of Etienne getting rocked |

The Problem with that fight is that it was predictable from the time the first punch was thrown. With fights like this one he will never learn how to fight past the 5th round. Tyson's comeback will be short lived. |

I agree with you there LOTF, L.Lewis will rock his world. I think Tyson bases his matches around his wallet (He has expenses just like everyone else)When his money gets funny he sets up a match. This guy blows money like it's nothing, so why not arange two fights a year with no name contenders. Easy money!

I saw the fight and was quite shocked that Etienne knew enough to take out his mouthpiece after he was "knocked out".....kinda odd. Especially them being muslim buddies and all. |

Well, the mouthpiece thing was just Etienne knowing he was beaten. He's been described as not having a glass jaw, but a glass head. The man knows what a knockout feels like (He got knocked down SEVEN times in a fight a couple years back)
The thing about it is, there are no compelling Heavyweights right now, outside of Tyson, and Tyson barely has anything left. Lennox Lewis is boring, the Klitschkos are unknowns for the most part. Chris Byrd is, as well. What the HW division needs is a charismatic performer who can hang with the rest of them.
Saturday Night, John Ruiz and Roy Jones Jr. go at it in Jr's first ever Heavyweight Match. If Jones wins, he's your new hope for the heavyweight division. That and Witali Klitschko KO'ing Byrd with ease in his return from injury. |
