WTF!!.. i have been banned for something called OGC cheat..

Remember some cheats don't just modify CFG Files. They overwrite DLL Files as well, which can be in one or more directories as previously mentioned.

I agree that those caught need to figure out why it happened and deal with it before it is to late. Now if they cheat on purpose, then it is moot. But, something is definately strange, because my son said it banned him from III by something it found in his Counterstrike directory. We have only played Counterstrike over our lan. If he tried playing on a server while I wasn't keeping an eye on him, I do not know. I do believe that there can be something being done without your knowledge. Can a server download a file onto your system, like one that is being flagged by the cheat program? Can an admin alter your config? I know they can change your shoot command to a kill command here. I am not saying that is what happened in his case. This is just baffling. When we did decide to try the mod out, we did download some new sound packs and skin packs. Not that there is anything in the packs and I don't think someone would put some stuff in there that is trying to get you booted from The Ville specifically. There is something going on though and I will have to look through his Counterstrike directory to see what the heck might have been added that the program is flagging. In his defense, he wouldn't even know if something got installed and he knows if I caught him cheating, he wouldn't be playing on any server, for a long while. He just plays and doesn't get caught up with how and why things work. He just won't play on The Ville III anymore. You can't make exceptions, because anybody caught could come and say the same thing. That would make the cheat detecting program a waste of time. If I do find something of any use, that can help people to keep an eye on, I will let the forums know. I just know my son wouldn't cheat and he was kind of devastated.

Well if this was the case everybody who has the Realistic Pack or Sound would be Banned
now wouldn't they? I know this to be fact that some servers try to access your Config.cfg due to that while browsing your console at the end of a game I notice all the time this Message "Couldn't write to Config.cfg"

I have this file set to Read Only due to this and also because it isn't the first file that HL reads first and could cause problems as far as Class specific Configs go.

What exactly is the name of this Cheat program that is in use here? maybe there is
something that they are (Admin's) over looking due to some technical glitch.

I AM STILL BANNED FROM 1 and 2!! seems to me if i was cheating i would be banned from tv3.. where i have been playing because im banned from 1 and 2.. can a admin please reply and tell me if i can be un banned.. cuz this is bs..

I don't recall seeing your post that said: you resolved what got you banned in the firat place and were playing on TV3 and "respectfully" requested that someone "please" unban you from TV1 and TV2. "Thank You".

I'm not sure of your personality but you come across on this forum as RUDE and Disrespectfull. I for one am in NO hurry to unban you. You really have a lot to learn !!!
