could be worse, mine has been acting up lately, sg's dissapear then reappear. Players vanish only to reappear and kill me. Cap3 on avanti screws up all the time. I agree though, dod players all look really similar to me. |

wow, what a thread.
Yes  I think this is all behind us now. We at the Ville are proud of our admin's here. They are the ones that keep this place a great place to play.
With any relationship there are hot and cold moments. But as you can see the admin's here bury their own feeling and keep on working to ensure that a FAIR decision is made.
Yes you are right we have some of the best admin's here at The Ville. And yes and this whole thing proves that the admin's main concern is for the OTHERS that play here not themselves.

Neither Rob or myself knew about or approved the unbanning and we don't know who did it or if it was a mistake... this is not "the final chapter"
I have plenty to comment on your remarks but it's 4:00AM, you may fool the others with your posts but I am 100% sure Gen.Badass was wallhacking when I speced him.
I know alot of you would just like this to go away.... it did, he was banned and most of the other admins supported it.
Why am I so angry and hostile in these threads??? because I'm sick of getting hate email/PM's/ICQ messages from people who were not there, did not see what I saw and are so ready to believe a cheater with a polished speech over an admin who has been fair/honest/giving with every ville breath I take. Every person who has ever complained in these forums about me banning them I have been able to produce proof of my actions and not a single one of them was overturned, at this point all I have is my word and if that's not good enough for you then I'm sorry.
I have never banned anyone before who did not deserve it and I have never banned a cheater before Gen.Badass because I either did not have enough proof or I was not recording a demo at the time. It's a sad fact that the demo was corrupted but that does not change the fact that he was wallhacking, it was so obvious I banned him without even reviewing the demo.

That the guy was cheating has always been a possibility for everybody, even if he was fair speaking. However, some ppl wanted sure proof of it, or that more than one admin withness the hack, not simply as automatic support from admin to admin. It seems to me that is what admins usually do anyway, they go over the logs before reaching a decision.
Still Ktulu, you got your result anyway, you won't see this guy doing it again here, because I'm quite sure several ppl will closely watch him, and many demos will be recorded. Can you at least explain what exactly was happening, so that we could be looking more accuratly for signs of wallhacking, from him or everybody else?

Not meaning this directly towards you paddy. . . I know you just want to help man.
It's not up to you or the public to watch them or anyone for that matter. If you want to make a demo and send it to an admin, great. But do not take on the role of "watching" anyone. That is the admins job.
It's not up to the public to judge possible offenders. That just causes witch hunts. If we sat down and laid out every little aspect of looking for "hacks", we would get complaint threads everyday on possible cheaters. 
It's not the admins job to prove everything to the public. At least I don't see it that way. You think anything would ever get done if every decision required public backing? The admin must make their case with the parties involved and that's it.
When you sign up or play here, you are basically agreeing to play by the rules that are currently in place. You are also agreeing to have the admins in place make decisions. When they make a decision, it doesn't help anything to tear them apart or trash them if you disagree. If you disagree, fine. Just remember that you are here by your own will. The admins will always try to do what is best for TheVille. Not what is best for the uninvolved, the admins, or the banned. With every step, TheVille is in the forefront. Someone will always be mad about decisions admins make. It's the nature of the beast.
This situation will go alot smoother and faster if we leave it to the people involved. Even my opinion is beside the point because I was not directly involved. So I'll shut up now.

I don't see how its anyone elses business but the 2 players involved and the admins. I don't care if you agree with an admins decision or not. You should worry about yourself and not what the admins are doing.
This is not a court of law here. We don't need evidence. I trust each of these admins to the fullest to do the right thing. I could care less how some other server does it.
Even if the demo wasn't corrupt, why do you think you would get to view it? It's none of your business, like I said its between the 2 players involved and the admins, not the 2 players involved, the admins and the public.
And this IS the final post of the final chapter.
