Okay, I saw the midnight showing last night (this morning) and I have one word.
WOW!!!
I mean, there were only minor discrepancies (in my opinion) from the book (except the leaving out of Tom Bombadil, perhaps one of my fave characters) ANYWAY....
It was totally awesome. Great action, great story, great effects, great acting. If you have seen it, Hooray for you, if you haven't...Go see it...NOW!!!!

I think this movie will be a classic, like Star Wars, or Terminator was. Although I havent seen it yet, I cant wait to. But unfortunately, I have to wait until it comes out the 19. Sigh...

I've been able to downlaod it off of Morpeus since 2 weeks ago. Full movie. But, I didn't want to spoil it for myself. I want to see it on the big screen and then I'll download it.

Alrighty! Saw it. It was great! know for the nit picking. Boy did they cut alot out. I mean big time. But I guess they have to otherwise the movie would have been 8 hours long. Also I chose the wrong theatre to go see it. The combination of the movie being PG-13 and the film being a cult. It attracted all the young punks to the movie( and listening to them talk after the movie was over showed that they had obviously not read any of the books, they must of read the Dummy for Lord of the Rings, young people today my goodness). At the begining of the film there was alot of kids walking in late during the monolog. So while it is dark inside the theater you would get this big beam of bright light form kids opening and closing the damn door. Then one punk held the door open for several minutes waiting for some friends. gggggggrrrrr. Then several cell phones went off during the film including one set on silent light up ring. And when I say light up I mean it could of been used on a lighthouse. And the worst offense. At the middle of the movie some damn punk piece of crap comes in walks in front of me to sit down instead of going to the other side were there was nobody sitting. Then towards the end of the movie the kid's mother and sibling come in and sit next to me and proceed to talk to the kid on the other side of me. HELLO! I trying to watch the GOD DAMN MOVIE!. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Bottom line is I am going to have to go see the movie again, barring that the above does not occurr again. Not that I would see this movie only once, but God I hate inconsiderate people. And it seems they move in flocks at the movie theaters. Not to get of topic, but a friend and I went to see that movie that spoofed the teen horror movies like Scream. There was one seat left next to my friend and the ilse. This lady with a baby comes in at the middle of the movie. The baby proceeds to constantly hit my friend during the movie. Then it takes a dump in its diaper, which really stinks!!!!, and get this, the mother does not get up to take the baby out of the theater to change the diaper, but stays for the rest of the movie. Tell me guys does this go on where you guys go. Sorry to vent here about this but MAN!!! All this supports my agruement about reinstating some sort of Natural Selection to weed out these people. So go see the movie Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings. Its not as good as the book, but who was counting on that. It was great as a movie and especially better then 90% of the crap that Hollywood is putting out now days. |

I just saw the movie yesterday. I'd just like to say that that movie was AWESOME. I would definately recommend it. Great effects, great story obviously. But they did cut out a lot. They easily could have made one or two movies out of the beginning narration. Even though they cut stuff out, and the movie lasted over 2 hrs, it didnt finish the story. It was so frustrating how it ended in a to be continued type way. I need closure! I cant wait till the sequel comes out. |

I saw that movie last night, it was great. My friend has only read up to bree and they cut all that out. I was so mad, I wanted to see how they would have them sucked into that tree. And Tom Bombadil... he was cool. Still they kept the important scenes. I liked that addition at Rivendell where i think it was Pippin who came in and said something like We need someone with smarts on this messin... quest... thing. I can't wait to see it again next week. |

Got to see it tonight, and, like, wow! What else can you say about a movie that lasts 3 hours, and everybody is disappointed that it's over so soon? Go see this!

Went to see it last week. Just like everyone else, Awesome! My wife read all the books, and kept telling me I needed to read them too. Now I see why. Well, guess I gotta lota readin' to do now.
As far as inconsiderate people in movie theaters, they need to stay at home. Not too bad here in Alabama, just those d@mn cell phones. And the theaters make a point of tellin' everyone to turn'em off, and they still don't. Oh well, guess I need to get up the guts to stand up and tell them to turn the blasted thing OFF! *Whole theater turns on cell phone user and glares them into submission* |

Hey Don't make fun of my generation! We may be a bunch of punks, but don't forget, modern psychiatry tells us that it's all our parents fault! so blame them!

W00t! Just got back from my third viewing of Lord of the Rings, and it just gets better each time.
You have to love the creative casting:
- wrestling star HHH as Boromir
- the Shroud of Turin as Sarumon
- Jack the Ripper as Bilbo Baggins
- the troll from Harry Potter as The Troll (That guy is getting a lot of work this year. He was funnier in Shrek, though.)
But who is that chick playing Frodo? Can't quite place her . . . .

Outstanding movie, just saw it tonight with the family. My boys 7 & 9 sat quietly through the whole thing!!! Must be good to keep them interested for 3 hours.
They did my favorite charactor, Legolas, up right, too. He was kickin' ass with the bow.
