I just check the new list of people who have cheated or are suspected of cheating, and I was rather annoyed with what I found:
Thu Nov 29 17:35:51
runwithsciss0rs
578409
suspicious
enable_autochange_sen from XQZ2.
First of all, I have frequented the ville servers for the past month or so now, and I have never cheated or used any kind of program to get an advantage over the other people on the server. Never. Not even once in my life, I have never even downloaded a hack or cheat program.
So what's with this? Why am I being labeled as a "possible" cheater? Could someone explain how your hack/cheat detecting program determines "suspicious" activity?
Also, I don't know what my won ID is so where do I have to go to find that in case the problem was someone else using my name (but not my won ID, obviously)?
Well, I don't know what else to say, other than that I feel unjustly accused. |

Hey run, I have played an hour or two with you and I never thought that you were cheating. I wonder what the cheat is that the server says was detected in your config. Does anyone else happen to know what "enable_autochange_sen from XQZ2" means??
Don't feel accused if the program is stating a "possible" cheat. I think it just means that it has detected something that it cannot compute.
Anyway, hang in there and we will get this all sorted out...

If you have played this week go to stats and punch in your name. You will find your wonID there.

Yeah I just thought of that. It's the same so that was me playing, but I definitely wasn't using "enable_autochange_sen from XQZ2", whatever that does.

I've just posted a topic in the Admin forum regarding this. It seems unfair to post suspected or probable since we aren't sure why it thought they might be there.
In all fairness this is the format that the program logs the info in and some people may leave the server as soon as they realize it is running an anti-cheat program and not get "detected". While anyone who continues to be able to play on the servers is assumed to NOT be cheating.
I understand how you feel, since there will be some people that just remember the name and not pay attention to what else is there. It is a shame that it has come down to this but the shear number of people being accused of cheating in recent weeks caused the anti-cheat programs to be loaded and the volume of cheaters validated why it needed to be done. I've noticed others that showed up as suspect only and I doubt they cheat as well. We will just have to wait and see what gets decided by the Admins. |

VGG admins,
I'm glad to see it is being looked into. I'm in the same boat as some of these other guys, ive shown up as "suspected". I've already posted on that so no need to reiterate. I just wanted to say gg admins, I havent been playing here very long but you guys seem very fair. |
