You would not have any doubts why if your kid went to our local public Middle and High Schools. The level of mediocrity is unrivaled. Using computer teaching aid programs our kids have to go to school twice a day, once for the state and once to learn something. Hey I'm not bitter. If I had listened a little closer myself maybe I could afford to send them to decent schools.

I wish I was in public...Canadian public that is. One thing that us Canadians have is a great school system lol j/k. Our hospital system is great too! HAHAHA damn I'm cracking mysyelf up. The gov't of quebec has been taking money away from social services to fund their private gestapo language police. Yes we have language police, you heard me we have people who decide when you are allowed to use any language other than french (which is next to never) Maybe if we stopped funding for this little gestapo of ours, we wouldn't have to play dead while waiting in hospital waiting rooms to get service...

here's a good example of our gestapo at work:

A small restaurant owner was fined and almost lost his business cuz he had too many english posters in his restaurant.

Another person almost lost his business cuz the COASTERS at his restaurant had no french at all, and only english!

If you have a sign/poster/anything the french words have to be in HUGE BOLD FONT and the english has to be in a tiny little font so that no one can see it. This can be quite annoying for tourists who are driving on the metropolitan (the major highway in montreal) and can't read the signs cuz they are all in french.

did I mention that our road system is one of the worst in Canada?? I went to cuba a couple months ago, and while I was there I realised that the CUBANS have better ROADS than QUEBEC! Our roads are cracked, filled with potholes, uneven, and are basically FUBAR! (thank you whoever explained to me wut fubar means) This is more money that is being funneled towards the funding for our gestapo language police.

Oh and did I tell you about the horrible racial discrimination against most non francophones in quebec? The minister of quebec, bernard landrie had the nerve to compare the french with the wtc bombing on the 11th. What a bastard!

The one time I've been to a Canadian High School, there were kids smoking cigars and pot outside on the stairs, Kids huffing inside, and a guy smoking a bong in the bathroom. Boy was I surprised. In WI you can't even use tobacco products within 500 meters of school property. Oh yeah, this was in Winnepeg (sp?)
It certainly was a different experience there.

lol snaggletooth. My school had a french trip to quebec last year. It was pretty cool but when we went to the school it was all trashy and people were smoking. The people that were supposed to show us around just kinda walked around in circles talking to eachother... I think they were insulting us cuz they were looking back and laughing. Weird people. I'm in a good school!

there are american schools like that just to let you guys know...but ya some of my friends are pot-smoking lunatics. Don't forget I go to private school, they are all rich there, they can afford da good shitz. We met a Rasta who was hanging around our school trying to sell weed to some of the little rich kids.
