This is a website that uses extra computing power from idle computers. Basically, it downloads different molecules and works on them, and then uploads the results to their servers. It looks very similar to the SETI project, if you recognize that.
I haven't used it yet, but I plan to look at it tonight and try it out after work. I thought if anyone else has a machine not doing much, it might be nice to help out.

I am feeling a little stupid. How exactly does this help cure a disease?? I'm kinda lost, any more info??

yeah i dont see how this helps cure diseases, I can see seti because they need so much computing power. I used to have the SETI screen saver, but it doesnt work on my computer anymore (freezes it up for some reason ) |

These kinds of research also need massive computing power to model many different bio-molecular structures and chemical interactions in an attempt to find cures. _________________

I don't know if it has a lot of Big Brother in it or not...
I plan to try it out and see what it does. If I don't like it, I will just take it off.
