Give me five steps from spawn.

That's all I ask.

I have played DOD since it first came out and I am fully aware of just "how far" you can go before actually spawn camping.

I just got out of a game where two individuals, (not regulars) decided to set up camp at our spawn. One MG and one AR both lined up on our spawn. Spawn step die. Spawn step die. Not very fun for anyone but the campers.

When it comes to stationary spawns;
IMO, as long as I can get 5 steps from my spawn point, I'll let most of it go. I understand it's a war mod and fights can get really close to spawn. But not allowing the enemy to even attempt to fight back is just no way to play the game. You might as well play by yourself or with bots. If I am getting my head blown off or gunned down by an MG within 2 to 5 steps, I'm going to consider that spawn camping and let the person know.

Moving spawns (there are not many);
Same rule as the stationary spawn however, it only applies to your "original" spawn point (where you start the game).

5 steps is all I ask.

"Do not hang out near enemy respawn"

Is this fair? Am I wrong? Your input please.

LOL, I banned 2 people last night for doing that.... you should do that same.

I only banned them for 24 hours and I told them if they do it again after the ban it would be permanent. They complained but I'm sure they got the message.

The reason I banned for only 24 hours is because some public servers actually allow this on DoD servers.

Yeah Ktulu, I was just screwing with KRG. Avalanche is the worst for Axis spawn campers. With the building facing Allied spawn I get sniped as soon as I appear, can't even take the first of KRG's 5 steps.

Maybe we should add NO SPAWN CAMPING to the MOTD on the servers? being the 3rd most popular DOD server like Rob said earlier means alot of non regs, who may not know the server rules, as was stated by Ktulu, alot of servers allow that.
