Paladin anti-cheat

I'm guessing Rob's news and vote are in reference to the new cheat detection program Paladin

Looks good to me, I'm sick of all the cheat accusations rather than the cheating itself. Last night I was playing on tv5 and somebody accused a sniper of cheating after a *single* kill. He then went on to say that 2/3 of the enemy team was cheating. That was after I got accused of having too many rockets (more than 4), to which I replied something about the reload key.

replying to the anti-cheat idea. it really does not work. ive played on servers who had the paladin thing and the place was full of cheaters so i dont kno if these things really work.

About cheat detection, <PWG>Unknown is an admin on a DoD server, he has showed me a text file in which a script from admin mod detects cheaters. I could only stare, there were so many. But anyways, I tried to ICQ Rob about it but never got a reply. So Rob, UNknown told me to tell you to go to the adminmod webpage and look under scripts for the anti-cheat script.

Only problem I have with a client side cheat detector is it is too easy to get around usually. One of the cheat programs comes with it's own client version of punkbuster.

Nothing worse than thinking you are safe when you aren't.....

I am for anything that will help stop the cheating llamas that rob everyone of us fighting an honest game. Also I see skilled players getting accused of cheating all the time, it's not fair to them. When I'm not fraggin at theville I run my punkbuster and look for punkbuster servers and most of the time I get a cheat free game. Nothing is perfect but it's better than not having anything at all.

Although I have seen people on theville servers get kicked auto-matic for having cheats so there must be something here already.

Is it just some of the servers running an anti cheat program now. I don't remember which one I was on and several people were kicked due to failure to pass some inspection scan.

I'm all for it as long as it works the way its supposed to. Gets tiresome listening to ppl accuse others of running aimbot all the time. I'm sure ppl will still accuse but hopefully it will cut down on it quite a bit.

Heh, I've been accused of cheating many times on other newbie servers. "How the heck did your emp explode and kill us immediately after you threw it! HAX! HACK! CHEATER!" Priming, dudes. Priming.

Also, this one i find extremely annoying:
"What! No way that spy died! I saw him do it! How did he get back up again! CHEATER!"

I have it cuz many CS servers have it and i HATE it...
I cant start it...
And then i get kicked

Yee-Haw!!!! Please make the list public, cheaters don't deserve to be protected, they need to be exposed and displayed in public to discourage others.

wait.... if you have a list of cheaters then there are cheaters on theville, we do need some protection software... isn't there anything out there that everybody can live with?
