DOD/NS question....

I was just wondering how everyone likes these mods....i havent tried either one. Are they similar to TFC? I've been playin TFC for 18 months or so and i still suck......i really dont have time to start a new mod that i will suck even more at.......actually.....i seem to ave some extra spare time now...hehe

they are both great mods but they have nothing in common with tfc in my point off view. ns is a very long game. it mostly takes you more then an hour before you finish 1 game and dod is even more fun.

dod is deffinately something i'd liek to hear more voice comm for, teamwork is a must for some of those points .. its a lot more realistic than the other two.. liek get this, 1-2 bullets and you are dead.. not leikt he 6 super shotgun blasts to kill a soldier in tfc. recoil however sucks a lot. the perfect aiming of tfc has spoiled me. NS, well its been a while since i've palyed that, and everyoen yells at me case i wanna be a gorge, but i'm not fast enough, i guess having fun isn't alowed in NS, lol. ohh and sniping in dod is great fun.. i liek the german hairs better blah blah blah and stuff

NS is a long game, more individual if you're aliens, and more dependent if you're marines. NS is pretty processor heavy. I haven't gotten 60 fps for more than 30 seconds, usually around 40, but my computer isn't as powerful as some around here.

A round in DoD can end very quickly if your team doesn't work together, or so I've noticed. Team chat would definitely be nice. There is recoil and it's not like you can just rush and expect to live long, unless you're really good with a bolt-action rifle. Every class is balanced to fit well into a specific role.

This is what I noticed so far, of course I haven't played DoD long so I can't tell you exactly how it's different from TFC, but NS is a change from TFC because you're not always in an area where you can easily see your teammates and that can make you be more independent, unless commanded.

in the maps with the paratroopers you always have a recoil time. use it to tell your teammates where the enemy is. I played such a game today and i was the onlyone telling were the enemy was. But we won almost every round cause my team knew where they were comming from. So use the recoil time!!!!!!!!!!!

roles? i usually paly SUPPORT INFANTRY but i leik to run around and sneak up on those darn nazis... BAR kicks arse although sometiems i swear BAR stads for Bad Accuracy rifle... instead of brown assult rifle... either way its great fun and dod is gonna take up a lot of my spare tiem i think, gotta get some tfc in too i spose but either way...

Im in Luv with NS, i just started playin Dod the other day i got mixed feelings on the game its a lil to realistic for me, If i was gonna pick a mod that realistic i would pick battlefeild earth, im running a unsauterd cable 1.5mps and i still get realy bad lag spikes ( not sure if its the server or me, ive only played dod on theville) but the game can be fun so u guys might see me on every now n then
