And, since this thread has been bumped, I toss the history
for my name:

It's the unofficial name of a little-known macro language for a
little known variant of MU*. (Official name is 'message parsing
interpreter, IIRC). I had the feeling that, as a friend
was dragging me into TFC, I was sure to get creamed for lack of
co-ordination, and thought that it would indeed be insanity to
try. The phrase for MPI had stuck in my mind, so I stuck it
into TFC for a name, as I was warned not to go on a server
named 'Player'...

Now that friend doesn't even play TFC anymore, and yet here
I still am. Odd how life works itself out...

I like this old thread. I think I have explained once b4 in another post that the first time I ever played my friend that set me up on TFC put DukeNukem in for my name since we would play DukeNukem 3D over the modem. Well it stuck and I have never changed it.

P.S. - I don't think Jolly Roger is around anymore, but he must not have known that the "Jolly Roger" was the nickname for the "Skull and Crossbones" flag raised on pirate ships -- i.e. "Hoist the Jolly Roger"

Verman came from a cartoon character created in the National Lampoon magazine of years gone by (1970's). He saved an east Indies holy man and was granted a superpower (change into any insect of his choice) to help fight evil. But in order to change into the superhero, he had to eat garbage.
Warped? Why yes, thanks

Drowned By Your Standards - lyric from an afi song, but that was too long so I changed it too...

jtHm - stands for Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, from a comic

Regarding the Kilaaks:

Webster's Dictionary:
obtuse 1 a: lacking sharpness or quickness of sensibility or intellect: insensitive, stupid b: difficult to comprehend: not clear or precise in thought or expression <~language>

Seems to describe the whole race of Kilaakians, doesn't it?
