its a radeon vivo 64 ddr. Only does it when something pops me outta game, then I hit resume and thats what it looks like. Pretty funny looking and wierd to play.

I sometimes get that sorta thing whenever I start a LAN game. Try pressing escape and then resume again.

That happened to me once. Avanti was pink and black checked. It was tripadelic. What I discovered was that I had accidentally deleted my textures for avanti. As soon as I reinstalled them, everything went back to normal.

I will lose sound one in awhile when something pops up in the backround and I hate to leave a good game and restart. I come back and can't get in "Server Full"..

Then when you stay you are an open target.

Does look like matrix. hehe

I get this all the time...when I play from work.

My calendar will kick me out of game. When I go back, everything is screwed (either picture or sound).

Rather than restarting HL, I Alt-Tab back to the desktop then use Task Manager to go back to HL. Sometimes have to do it twice, but it always brings everything back. However, if you use the menus to exit, they act a little different, but nothing you shouldn't be able to handle.

*Note: I have also noticed that when shelled to the desktop, HL acts differently if you click the taskbar icon with your left mouse button or your right. The right one always gives me better results.
