VIDAR'S NIFLHEIM 2 - Capture The Flag

Vidar2 is a remake of my original Vidar's Niflheim TF map. Many
gamer's suggestions were taken into account but the primary
changes had to do with improving the defendability of the flags.

Objective: Enter the enemy Fortress and make
your way to where their Flag resides in the
Tower. Grab it and bring it back to the base
of your Tower. Place it on the raised square
to Capture it. The flag will then return to
the enemy Base.

Scoring: 10 points per Capture.

Notes:
-Flag carriers drop the Flag when they die.
Dropped Flags return to their Base after 65
seconds.
-The ice tunnel under the glacier requires a
detpack to clear. Another detpack explosion
can re-seal it.

Absolutely great choice guys. I can see we have some pretty good taste around here. How about this rotation for TV1?

The two best attack/defend maps rotating with two fabulous capture the flag maps. I have always wanted to play Palermo and Vidars2 with a lot of people, but whenever they come on to a server there isn't anyone there since no one has the map. This is a problem with custom maps, but after the extreme success of Acropolis2, I bet Palermo and Vidars2 could do it also if everyone here downloaded the map.

Would it be possible to create a Ville map pack so that people could just download one thing and then be able to play all the maps in the rotation? I think this would make the maps more available. The more people who have the map, the better the opportunity for us to play it.

I did put Vidars2 and Palermo into Munk's server map pack.


However, since it became TV3, it took over that rotation. Incidentally, Palermo lost the MOTM vote by 1 nomination! A great map as well.

You mean the maps that you can download in game? I was actually referring to a package of maps that people could download from the website as one download and get all the good maps. This way people wouldn't have to download a new file every time a map that they don't have comes into rotation. It could include all the cool custom maps that we run at The Ville.

For example a pack with: Acropolis2, Vidars2, Palermo, Osaka, and maybe one or two more.

This would make it easier for people to get the maps we want them to have. Then if you can convince everyone to download the pack we might be able to fill up a server running those custom maps.

Yes, I made a map pack. A seperate d-load. It had all sorts of maps from like, Maya, Palermo, Vidars2, 1930h, highflag, pharaohs etc etc.
