|
|
Does anyone know a solution for the problem with half life where it freezes, and the last few seconds of sound loop over and over again? This is starting to annoy me. If I recall, a control - alt - delete won't even restart the computer. The only way to do anything is to push the restart button on the computer. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

I get the same thing as Gizanked, but only on start-up. Can you still access console while your frozen. Sounds like a 'retry' might be the best option. _________________

I can't access anything. When this occurs, the entire system is locked up and can't do a thing. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

It's not cable, and it's not memory.
I randomly get the same problem....in a couple of different ways, but it is still the same.
I freeze, but can watch everything else go on around me. I have to pull the power, and the battery (on a laptop).
I also have had it go to a blank screen, and lock-up, if I have had to shell out and am coming back into TFC. When this happens, I can usually use CTRL-ALT-DEL and shut down TFC, but not always.
I have not been able to isolate the cause(s) of this. Although I think the blank screen has something to do with the vid card not being able to handle the stopping/starting of TFCs vid driver. _________________

borg, that has happened to me but usually its because my cpu has been on for like 4 days and the system resources are low. i dont know if thats anyhelp but try restarting your cpu before you play.

It happens even right after a fresh restart. But I may have fixed it for myself. Is anyone else having this problem using a via chipset on their motherboard? _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |
