Hey y'all. Anyway, as i was reading the origin of people's nicks, I find it very interesting. Also, there was a thread couple of weeks ago on where people are from and stuff like that.

I realized that this is can be one aspect that makes the ville a very special gaming place. We longer just frag and know nothing else of each other. Which I thought brings us closer together. So I thought I might start a thread on talking about who we are and what do we do for living and stuff like. Feel free to ramble on and on about yourselves.

Well, I am a student at University of California Irvine.It's very close to San Diego, if you don't know where it is. Also,I am a bio major. I hope to go into a biotech industry later on. Oh yeah! Twink you're half Chinese?! I am full Chinese. And we're in the same clan too. What a coincidence? I don't own a TV, so I get most of my entertainment from the ville. So I thank you very much mayor Rob for bring this into our lives.

We should have started this a long time ago, for the most part I had no idea about any of the new regulars, so I've been reading through.

I'm a 20 year old student at the Art Institute of Houston, I am getting my degree in Animation Arts and Design (fancy corporate name for Computer Animation). I don't have much free time at all, and what free time I have I usually spend playing games, drawing, and spending time with my Girl. Otherwise I'm doing schoolwork or am at The Art Institute in class.

My computer is in constant upgrade and is currently a Duel Processor(AMD1.4s) with the Gainward GeForce3 graphixx card, and 120GB of raided hard drive space. I am also in the process of drawing up designs to mod my computer case and do a custom paint job on it. My ride is a Black Eclipse Spyder 97'. I basically have the bodybuild of a scout and now have Spikey Blue hair (real permanant electric blue, not that manic panic crap, hair dyers you know what I'm talkin bout)

I've been playing Team Fortress since May of 2001 and started playing regularly at theville (then known as Avantiville) in late June/August 2001. And yes my Brother is Rata-Tat-Tat. I'm the older brother by 13 months.

I listen to Industrail, Death Metal and some Punk music. Movies of note include Men In Black, Unbreakable, Hellraiser 1 and 2, Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer, Gladiator, House on Haunted Hill 99'. I'm not a real big fan of anime, But I do like DragonBall Z, I get flak for this because "oh dragonball has no plot it's sucky anime..blah blah". DragonBall Z may not have the greatest art in the world, but man do they know a good fight, you've not seen a beating until you've seen that, no other fighting in animes, or anything else for that matter, can hold a candle to them. I also Like to watch the Simpsons, Futurama, Invader Zim, Sci-Fi channel and Comedy Central. Other games I like to play are WarCraft2, StarCraft, Diablo2, Black and White, Quake 3 Arena, RUNE, Unreal Tournament, Marvel vs Capcom 2(arcade), and Super Smash Brothers(N64). I also play pencil and paper RPG's like Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Hero's Unlimited, and one that my friend has been creating and working on for years and hopes to publish. For reading...comix.. Johnny The Homicidal Maniac, I Feel sick, BattleChasers, Eve:Protomecha. Well I don't think I've left much out...so that's me YourPowersAreWeakOldMan!

Well, Im a 15 year old 'nerd'. I only play the ville. I can only play an hour though, thanks to my Mom. I live in El Paso, TX (its at the most western point of TX). I speak a little spanish, I'm hispanic. Although my Grandma only speaks spanish, I never really picked it up, and only speak it when I have to. I get staight A's in school, but sadly, I dont have very many friends

I moved to Charlotte, NC from Cape Town, South Africa about 6 months ago. I was transferered by the company I work for - a very large, global freight company. The first things I bought when coming to America were a Ford Thunderbird V8 and a P3 1Ghz 'puter - of course with cable connection !!! (God - must be the onset of mid-life crisis) I am 31 years old - just the right blend of age and agility to be a spy or engineer (huh, sure....). I have a beautiful wife, Melenie, for 7 years - who naturally disapproves of all the time I spent in The 'Ville.

Im 19 from Kentucky. I used to smoke alot of pot and do any drug could get my hands on.. But I have moved past, and now I Like to get drunk. All I do is gfet drunk now. I have a job making Pizza. My favorite drink is Heaven Hill whiskey.. I drink it all the time.

Well, are there any non-student TFC players out there?? I myself will be 26 as of tomorrow. I am an Information Security engineer for a Fortune 5 company, which is the most fun and lucrative job any computer geek could have. I'm planning to take the Mensa admissions test this fall. And I'm not just a geek with a quest for IQ, when I'm not on the 'ville on the weekend, I'm likely out drinking, dancing, and whatever comes next with my female friends! Ah, to be a bachelor on an IT salary!

woopeedoo! here we go again! I'm currently a software engineer at a startup in silicon valley, ca. Used to run a server off their T1 (with permission of course!) call [S]Mir Mirror[S]. Of course, it was never as cool as the 'ville (brown nose points here pls). And before that I used to do software development work at Adobe Systems, ya know, that shop that sells photoshop, illustrator and other cool graphic apps which some of you guys use to morph heads of your favorite school teachers onto nude chicks? anyway, i'm 29, just broke up with my g/f and hence having all the time in the world to hang out at the 'ville! see ya guys in my scopes soon! >)

Working as an Applications Engineer at a startup company called ePeople Inc in Mountain View CA. Have a wonderful g/f who indulges my TFC habit... very bad habit as it is. I'm also more than half-way onto getting my private pilot's license and I enjoy high-performance driving on road tracks from Laguna Seca to Thunderhill Raceway in Cali in my project 613-rwhp Supra Twin-turbo. Looking to pursue my MBA sometime this year and I'm waiting for responses back from all the colleges I've intervied at. Oh! and I'm on my third week of quitting smoking too!

No we're not all students. It's been 25 years since SDSU. Oh well I still have the memories. Now I'm a programs manager with a medium size construction company. We specialize in large custom homes but we build just about everthing large and small. Cool stuff you might have seen that I've built are parts of Shamu's and the Manatee complex at SeaWorld, Robinhoods climb at legoland, and various building at the Coor's Ampitheater. Most everthing else is private homes that the owners hardly ever visit! (must be nice) Anyway ROOFCUTTER comes from all my earlier work that I've personally acomplished. Now I don't actually use any tools except but not limited to, my palm , laptop and digital camera.

Hmm what more can u say i am a pothead, and i like too smoke hydro but i start college tommrow so i really gotta slack off or quit anywayz i really couldnt tell ya what i wana be right now but it will do with computers for sure i live in Nederland Tx, near Beaumont about 2 hours from Houston used too other drugs going to these "Partys" in houston but all that shit is passed me cause i think its really stupid shit now so all i do is play Asherons Call or TFC all day long and of course smoke bud but it really sux down here and its really Hot ...Hopeing too move too Cali or something when im older

Oh and i jam Swisha House(if u live anywhere near houston u should know these freestlye pro's) and i like most other music except country and most electronic unless its got some words too it

Well here I go,

I'm 14 live in SoCal kinda near Omega. Like Maian I am a straight a stundent (even though I can't spell for beans) and don't have many Friends. Although I do consider most of the people at the ville friends. Sorry for getting sentamental(<-----misspelled word). I have no clue what I want to do. My Dad sells tape for a living and not porno the sticky stuff. Lol. I also live in a very large house and we will soon have a ferrari even though my dad is took cheap to upgrade his computers at work(which are like 300mhz with 32MB ram) Well sorry for rambling on. I Probably said more stuff than anyone would ever want to know. I'll see ya all around.

Currently doing a course in Computer Science at St Andrews university.
Not a clue what I wanna do with the degree once I get it - was thinking of going into Computer Games, cos that'd give me quite a bit of freedom in what I do - who knows, maybe I'll make TF3?

Anyhoo - I live in a small town called Dunblane, in Central Scotland - got quite a big house - and I'm in serious need of an upgraded computer and a DSL line

Great to see this thread. I'm 53 yrs old, married for 31 wonderful yrs. (To the same woman, no less!) Have a degree in music education, and masters in education. Was a Chief Instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, had 2 Mail Boxes Etc. franchises, & ended up in computers. Born & raised in Houston, TX, lived in McAllen, & Austin, TX.
