Nabbed this off another forum, thought it'd be fun:
Okay, here are the rules.
You're holding a dinner party, and you have decided (for reasons best known to yourself) to hire a time machine and travel the whole of human history and geography, and bring back twelve figures from either past or present, from anywhere in the world, to attend your gathering.
Anyone. Anyone you wish, for whatever reasons. Feel free to tell us a little about why you invited whom you did.
And then there is the matter of....the Thirteenth Guest <insert Twilight Zone theme tune> who must be taken from amongst those people you consider to be the most evil of all man's history. And tell us why you chose this person too, if you can.
(will post mine as soon as I think of them) _________________ Most evil admin around.

I'd go back and invite my heros:
Joseph Stalin
Adolf Hitler
L.P. Beria
Heinrich Himmler
Osama binLaden
Genghis Kahn
Caligula
"Jack the Ripper"
Vlad the Impaler
M.D. Sade
Mao Se-Tung
Shiro Ishii
and my lucky 13th guest: J.W. Booth
Just kidding, they're not my heros, I'd just like to see how many seconds it would take before they start killing each other off
I know they're all actors and their on-screen persona isn't real, but I'd like to see the following all together, acting in their respective primes:
John Wayne
Lee Marvin
Charles Bronson
Clint Eastwood
Chuck Norris
Telly Savalas
Lee Van Cleef
James Cagney
Sly Stallone
Jack Nicholson
Bruce Willis
Robert De Niro
and the lucky #13 Al Pacino
I'd just love to see the look on the poor waiter's scared faces
My real list:
George Washington (duh)
Jesus (I'd like to know... you know)
Einstein (a cool genius, easy enough)
Karl Marx (I'd like to know how he reacted to his ideas being stolen and ruined)
Leonardo da Vinci (another cool genius)
Peter the Great (One heck of a man, in all ways)
Ben Franklin (For his time, probably the most educated man of his time)
Ieyasu Tokugawa (founded the japanese dynasty that lasted until "modern japan" in 1860s)
Jim Thorpe (a stud, plain and simple)
Muhammed (I'd also like to know about his take on religion)
Alcibiades (probably the crafties punk to ever live)
Franklin D. Roosevelt (I'd like to know how someone can be so great and overcome so much, to help others rather than for himself)
and the evil #13 is Hitler, he really would be intersting. |

Ok got my list now:
Charles Darwin - Father of evolutionary science, nuff said.
Albert Einstein - Another one of the greatest minds ever
Stephen Hawking - Great example of not letting a crippling condition stop one making a great contribution to the world
Stephen Fry - Author and comedian, one who I consider to be very very intelligent
Terry Pratchett - one of my favourite authors, never met him
Douglas Adams - again a favourite author, a life cut tragically short - maybe he could also finish Salmon of Doubt
Billy Connolly - best stand-up comedian ever IMHO
David Attenborough - made the natural world come straight into the home through his documentaries. He's been to the ends of the earth and back again showing us the weird and wonderful life of animals and plants
Michael Parkinson - Chatshow host, has been around and met just about everyone there is who's worth meeting
Freddie Mercury - Another life cut short, one of the greatest song writers
Graham Chapman - The missing python, would be great entertainment at the dinner table
Alice Cooper - Still rocking on, does the best shows ever
13th:Tomas de Torquemada - First Grand inquisitor of Spain. (would've been Genghis Khan but he'll probably have a busy dinner schedual as this thread progresses) _________________ Most evil admin around.

hmmm, who to pick, who to pick.
The Duke - He was just one dude you did not mess with.
Edgar Allen Poe - just to get him to explain some of the shit he wrote.
Ramses II - to see if we could build a Great Pyramid of beer cans
Jesus Christ - somebody has to say grace, and having somebody at the party who can turn water to wine could prove handy!
Einstein - Smartest guy to ever have a sense of humor.
JFK - Just so I could buy him a drink and hear all about Marilyn.
Dean Martin - Acting, singing, drinking. Is there nothing that man couldn't do???
Chesty Puller - Gotta pay homage to one of the greatest warriors this country has ever produced.
Richie Valens - Great talent, shuffled off too soon.
William Shakespeare - He'd be great for stories after dinner.
Julius Ceaser - Just because I could.
Cleopatra - After dinner mint!!
and the infamous 13th......
Pol Pot - Despot killed his people, then got sentenced to house arrest, I'm sure we could hook him up a bit _________________ Under construction!!! |
