Does anyone *ahem warhammer? * know how I can find out what type of motherboard I have? (other than finding the receipt for my computer, which I lost a long time ago)

Thanks

Download, and install this:
http://download.com.com/3001-2086-10132058.html

Run the program, double click on System Summary, scroll down to 'Mainboard and BIOS' and look at the system chipset. This will tell you motherboard manufacturer, and model chipset number (hopefully). The program also tells you a great deal more about ur computer, if interested.

The most reliable way is to pop the case and look at it. Write down any identifying numbers/names and then you should be able to figure out what board you have.

If this is a computer you got from an HP or Dell, or something like that, then it will be harder to tell what you got. They use more propietary boards, rather than name brand ones.
