*As typed by Chan so you know it's crap.*
E.G. Mine just bought a new GeForce 4 Ti4600 128 mb, and it arrived today, admist the jumping for joy and itchy trigger fingers, we went to install it with hands trembling from its power. Poped open the case quickly and went look at the card slot.
Suddenly we both sat there looking at the hole that this monster of a graphics card is supposed to fit, with our minds slowly fizziling and the new card smell going away we noticed something, it just was too big to fit.
/me claps at QVC and there crappy Gateway computers.
Anywho the card was an AGI 4x slot and the inside was missing alot of the holes and just general space for the card.
So, in recolection of grade school times, we tryed to put the proverbial square block in the triangle hole.
Noticing the predicament, I, Chan, grabbed the card and ran like hell towards the door with the card in hand while doing my best impression of the sound pack file "Suckers.wav" being only able to make it to the door and then realising it was locked, I took my punishment. My stomach still hurts from the ol' Aweful Waffle from "Salut your Shorts."
Now that we notice that the majority of the cards use this genaric slot, like my computer ^_^ (owe smiled too hard.) We need your help on this one.
What type of card do you think would be able to fit into this stoopid computer. _________________ http://www.chronixradio.com |

Sounds like your puter may not have an AGP slot... you may have to settle for a PCI card. And that blows! _________________

Thats a Modem Riser Slot, (still not sure what that is used for if anything)
If the slot is White the its PCI, if its short and brown then its AGP, if its long and brown then its (gasp!) ISA _________________ Killing is my bidness ladies and BIDNESS IS GOOD!!!! |

Yup, you need a PCI card but don't forget to return the card or else you paid for it for nothing or ask for an exchange! |

this is such an ironic post. my geforce2 ultra just went kapuut this morning. so i just put my order in for the geforce4 ti6400!! i just wonder if that card's an overkill for tfc alone since that's about the only game i play anyways. |

I am playing with the GeForce 4 MX440, which is the 64mb version, because i didn't have $250 to spend on a video card. It too, is an AGP card. Search on some online comp store for a brand name who sells a PCI card. _________________ <---- LinktoDeath-TPF-VS-

I have this same card and it rocks . I haven't cracked open the case yet to see if it's AGP or not but it doesn't even matter. I would endorse buying this card.
I had a similar problem when I bought my first graphics card, it was a Voodoo card although I can't remember which one it was but it was huge!! I was able to modify the internals of the case by moving my hard drive up and cutting the slot that it was sitting in. It was a big improvement for the graphics but I nearly couldn't get it to fit. _________________
