sup all! just out of curiosity, does anyone have any good suggestions on which heatsink model is good? I have a P4 2.4GHz socket 478 cpu. I'm looking for something that is quiet and really effective on keeping my baby cool.
This heatsink that came with my cpu is crappy! i turn on my computer and look at the temperature, it's at 90F already! |

You can never go wrong with a volcano. You can probably get the model for your speed CPU for about $20 US. _________________

if you want quiet, get a swiftech mcx-478, and put your own panaflow on it.. heatsink is going to be abt $45 though, but its the best aircooling thing you can get, so you wont need a ultraHSF on it, unless you like being able to hear your comp outside the house (used to be me<-----------) hehe... if ur not insane though, id go with the volcano, volcano 7? i think has a thermostat that vaires the fan speed based on temp... _________________
