Geforce of any kind are newer than a TNT. They are made by the same company so, go with what is newer, but which geforce would depend on your budget and also the rest of your system. _________________ I need to make a sig, but I don't have the time. Maybe I will eventually. |

*TIME TO BRAG*
Well, thanks to E.G. Mine, I no longer use my old 8mb TNT 2 card, I now use a 64 mb Geforce 4 440 Xtacy card.
Couldn't be better.

I say go for Geforce if you can afford it at all. I just got a Geforce 4 TI 4200 for $165 online. It was the one with 128 mb of DDR RAM on it. Do a little checking online for prices.
I suggest going here http://www.pricewatch.com. They will show you prices from all over on computer equipment of any kind. _________________ Been chasing since May 2001!

The GeForce cards will dust a comparable Radeon for gaming. Nothing against the Radeons . . . they are good cards.
I'd put in another vote for the GeForce4 Ti 4200. It cruises through every game I own, and it was a shade over $160. TFC is non-stop 99 fps. Beware the "fake" MX GeForce4 cards. The 4200, 4400, and 4600 are the only true GeForce4 cards. |

The problem is the fact that Im paying with canadian dollars... Im also buying from the evil tyrant FutureShop . I will watch on that price watch website. Though if bryt.com got they're parts website up and running then they have good deals, GeForce 2 for $60 last time I checked. The best part is the fact that its based in toronto so its right next door.
Im not going to get the comp right this minute. Im waiting for a bit until I have the money and permission from the "evil queen of saving" (my mom). So prices will drop (by a bit). Hat, if you want to watch for some deals then I wouldn't mind it , anyone for that matter. Copy + paste the link below to see a prebuilt comp that I (could) buy:
http://www.freewebz.com/renagadesoldiers/comp.jpg
Its "alright" comp, but I would rather build my own (thats why I got the "building your own computer for dummies" book a year ago ). Tell me what you think.
Well, thats all.

GeForce 4 mxes are nothing more than GeForce 2s with a new paint job
Either get a GF3 or wait for the GF5s to come out and get a GF4 4600 (they are no longer making the 4400 from what Ive heard) |

Man, it seems only like a few weeks since GF3 pwnd all, yet already 5 is about to appear. Go for the Radeon 9000 series, as I think ATI is starting to get its act together when it comes to drivers. |
