Ok, i've installed custom sprites n stuff to my game and they've always worked but recently I got new rocket flares and for some reason they're working on every server i've been to except for TheVille servers. I honestly have no idea why they would work elsewhere but not here...does anyone have any ideas or possibly explanations why this would be? If not then oh well... its not a big deal cause my old ones are pretty cool, but I just thought I'd ask.

And you are complaining? It's probably a lot easier to see without the flares. I switched to a custom sprite with a tiny, bright rocket and a very weak flare. My aim still sucks, but it's a lot easier to see what's going on around you, especially if you have a lot of Sollies playing.

Don't some leagues have a ban on no-flare sprites? And how the heck would they enforce that?

[EDIT] Oops, I re-read your post and it sounds like you still have flares, but when you play at the Ville it doesn't use the custom ones. In that case, do you start HL differently when you play at the Ville, like through a shortcut? Maybe that would have some bearing on it. And weak flares still rule. [/EDIT]

2 Euro leagues ban no/small flares, they enforce it by allowing the other team to ask for a screenshot of a player they suspect to be using flairs like that during prematch mode of their match. I have no clue why your custom flares don't work... If they are installed correctly they should. BTW: big shiny purple flares from Gig's video > small ones They look especially good on pipes.
