Hey everyone; This is where you tell stories of when you have played peacemaker between an argument or conflict of any sort during a game and peacefully settled it when an Admin or TVB member wasn;t around (or if you are an Admin/TVB member a time when you peacefully settled a conflict without having to ban). Ill start it off:

Ok well I was playing yesterday on the VilleIII and it was a REALLY small game of Acropolis2 (very small, in fact; a 2v1 game) since it was really late at night. Well I was pyro (duh) and my ally was an Hwguy. The enemy was a sniper (my suggestions for a different class were unheeded) and proceeded to snipe from his balcony. While I was busy capping the flag (lol) an argument suddenly started between the other two players. The sniper was swore at the HW a bit and then preceded to complain at him, saying that he was camping. The HW denied this saying that his actions were not considered camping. Seeing that conflict was imminent, I (bravely? Hehe) decided to step in the middle and settle this one and for all because: 1) I hate arguments 2) There was already only 2 other ppl in the server and I wasn;t in the mood to lose more
I started off by asking the sniper (I forget their names) what the HW was doing. He replied saying that he was staying in the dark area (sniper nest) near the respawn and didn’t move, killing the sniper everytime he went past. HW said that he wasn;t camping. I came up and settled it saying that what the HW was doing was legal because although it is considered camping, it wasn;t unavoidable and told the sniper that all he had to do was to go around the path the HW was in since it wasn;t that close to the respawn and kill him from another place; I said that types of camping that weren;t allowed was respawn camping and if the HW was standing in front of the respawn throwing nades/shooting, then THAT was illegal. They both readily agreed and we fragged on happily ever after. And after a few more mins we were joined by more players (kickin meds like FragMachine and awesome pyro Omega Sin) and the game got even better. To sum it up it felt good to help contribute just a little bit (it was nothing anything great) to the awesome playing environment that I;ve experience around here that;s been given to me. Just returning the favor. Thx Ville.

I too, have played peace maker at the ville.

You see, I was running around as a soldier during avanti on TV1 (of course it's avanti). I was playing defense and so I just kept running from bag to bag, killing all the enemies I saw. Well, let me tell you, this one character had had enough of that. So he constantly targeted ME. Only me. Even after I had died several times by his work, he would still come after only me. I was getting mad, so I started yelling at him. He promptly yelled back and killed me at the same time. Normally, I'd say that the war was on! But instead, I decided to figure out why he was so intent on killing me. I asked him, and he said that he was tired of being thrown around like a ping pong ball, and wanted me to quit. He had a lot of his friends behind him on this one, and if they all targeted me, I was good as dead. So I tried to make peace between us. After a few inspiring minutes, he and his friends agreed that they were overreacting, especially since they just respawn again. They agreed to stop targeting me, and now my grenades and me are friends once again!!
