Server start, have a few questions.

Im considering starting up a server for [RS]. I don't know if I can afford it, however. Does anyone know how much it would cost to start a server and how much to keep it going? I know that I am going to get another comp (for me) when I can get the money. But I just want to know how much it actually is. I will post the comp's specs on here (I am building it by the way). I also have Highspeed phone line. Is this "acceptable" for running a server? I don't think my mom will let me get cable.

You need atlest 368k UPLOAD speed if not more to prevent lag. That is what can make the line expensive. Normal DSL and Cable are max 128kb up.

The line will run over 170.00 per month if that type of speed is avalible in you area.

For comparison if you have a home DSL line and it is only only used to host a server (not to ply on or use by other computers) you can do4 to 6 plyrs server matches. I am trying to find you the link that gives all the details
