I finally got the DSL hooked up here. For the first time ever, this cabin on a lake that I live in now has a broadband internet connection. Preliminary tests show my speed as around 400kb/s, but I care most about reliability and low latency... I'm sure you'll all be seeing a lot more of me (probably suiciding) on the servers soon

Actually, it's gotta be better than 400kb/s... I was downloading stuff in the high 90's kB (capital B for bytes)... Since the account isn't in my name, I can't actually ask specific questions, but I have a very good feeling about this... 768 DSL maybe?

Ping was around 100, and stable... I think I'm in love with the little DSL box

anything is better than dial-up and you ping looks nice at 100. I have one that is between 2.5x - 5x greater than that.

BBF, I've had DSL for over a year now, and I dig it. I've often wondered if it's because of my DSL that I've had even the small amount of success that I've had.
